Month In Review

"How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?" --Dr. Seuss

June has flown by and it's too much effort to back blog this time. So here's what's been going on:

  • The first week of June: my grades finally came out. And they are the best I've had in law school!
  • The second week of June: I finished working for Perretta Law Office as a law clerk.
  • The third week of June: I started working for Wilner & O'Reilly as a law clerk.
  • The fourth week of June: We moved into our first apartment.

Throughout the month, we kept up on the NBA Finals and the World Cup (we meaning mostly Matt, although I would sit in occasionally). We had our last few visitors over before the big move, and we spent a lot of time packing.

Father's Day

Not to brag, but being the oldest, I was technically the one officially to make my dad a father.
But sibling rivalries aside, I did want to post a few things in honor of Father's day.  One of the responsibilities of fathers is to provide for their families. My dad has done this in a number of ways for me:

  • He provided for me by giving me my name (Rebekah Ilene Lund)
  • He provided for me by encouraging me to reach my educational potential and attend law school
  • He provided for me with the example of hard work, knowing that we all have to make sacrifices for our families
  • He provided for me by giving me fun memories, especially during the summer when he would take us to the dollar theatre or to the waterpark
  • He provided for me with the example of putting God first, and centering our lives in the gospel

Rhetorically,
Rebekah
